Day 3: It’s Simpler Than You Think

Devotional
The greatest truths are often the simplest. Salvation is not complex—it is faith in Jesus Christ, and nothing more. Not faith plus works, not faith plus religion, not faith plus heritage. Just faith.
Many struggle with the simplicity of God’s plan. We live in a world where everything must be earned, but God offers salvation freely. Pride is often what keeps us from accepting it. We want to contribute something—to earn our way—but salvation requires humility.
While following Christ may be challenging, becoming His child is simple: believe and receive. God made salvation clear so that all people, regardless of background or education, might understand and accept it.
Bible Verse
“For I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.”— Isaiah 66:18 (KJV)
Reflection Question
What pride or self-reliance might be keeping you from fully embracing God’s simple gift?
Quote
“It’s faith in precious Jesus and nothing else. It’s free—it’s by grace, it’s by faith—or it’s by works. And it ain’t by works.”
Prayer
Heavenly Father, forgive me for trying to complicate what Thou hast made simple. Help me to trust fully in the finished work of Christ and to rest in Thy grace. Amen.
