Devotional
Imagine standing at the edge of a great chasm with no way to cross. That is the condition of mankind—separated from God by sin. But Jesus Christ became the bridge that spans the divide.
He did not come merely as a teacher or example, but as the perfect Mediator between God and man. In the Old Testament, the temple had walls and veils that separated people from God’s presence. When Christ died, that veil was torn from top to bottom. The barrier was removed forever.
Now we may come boldly before God with our cares, our needs, and our praise. Yet many neglect this privilege. We carry our burdens alone instead of bringing them to the One who loves us most. Jesus did not die only to bring us to heaven someday—He died to bring us into fellowship with God today.
Bible Verse
“O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!”— Romans 11:33 (KJV)
Reflection Question
If you truly believed you could bring anything to God right now, what would you talk to Him about?
Quote
“I can go into the presence of God with my problems and my needs. That is amazing—and what’s more amazing is that many do not.”
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank Thee for being the bridge between me and the Father. Teach me to come to Thee first in every situation and to rest in Thy presence daily. Amen.
