Emmanuel: God with Us

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."

The story of Jesus' birth is a timeless and sacred story that holds a special place in the hearts of believers. It's a story that begins with a divine plan to bring salvation to all of humanity. In this blog post, we will explore the biblical account of Jesus' birth as told in God's Word, and reflect on the profound significance of this event in the Christian faith.

The Birth of Jesus

The birth of Jesus is found in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, and it is a narrative filled with awe-inspiring events. According to the Bible, Mary, a young woman from Nazareth, was visited by the angel Gabriel, who delivered a divine message:

Luke 1:31-32 (KJV)

"And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest."

Mary, a humble and faithful servant of God, accepted this extraordinary task, and by the Holy Spirit's power, she became pregnant.

Matthew 1:23 (KJV)

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."

Mary's fiancé, Joseph, also received a visitation from an angel who reassured him of the divine nature of this child. They both played an essential role in fulfilling God's purpose.
